Sydney
Sydney Tower
At the corner of Pitt Street and Market Street, Sydney Tower overlooks the city central with its imposing
height. Admission for adults is AU$22, while concession tickets cost AU$16. The tour also includes a 30-minute sky show.
However, the supports of the tower leave little room for one to have a panoramic
view of the city.
Manly Beach
Situated a short walk away from Manly Bay, this beach packs quite a mix of characters.
Unlike Bondi Beach, this beach is more suited for the family. Latin music bathes the town center and buskers can be seen entertaining
crowds. A weekend market sells handicraft in the town center. Most of the items are exquisite and ornamental, and they cost
a bomb.
Bondi Beach & Coogee Beach
This beach to the east of Sydney city central is infamous for its topless sunbathing.
Thousands flock to the beaches in summer in the hopes of getting a nice tan. Although it is a legal topless beach, it is impolite
to stare (and worse, drool as well). Do not take photographs too!!
For those more adventurous, the Coogee to Bondi walk is recommended. By following
the white barricades, you will be treated to a breath-taking sight. It is better to start off at Coogee Beach because the
town center there is smaller than Bondi's. Food stores can also be found along the way.
Coogee to Bondi walk (approximately 2 ½ hours, 4.5km)
- Coogee Beach
One of the infamous topless beaches in the east coast of
Sydney, it is located south of Bondi.
- Gordons Bay
There
is a rocky surface here along the waters edge. For the adventurous, it is a good challenge to try this path instead of the
road.
- Clovelly Beach
For the
shy, this beach provides a good shelter for nude sunbathing as it is away from prying eyes.
- Waverly Cemetery
- Calga Reserve
- Bronte Beach
Another
of the bigger beaches in the stretch.
- Tamarama Beach
- Bondi Beach
Final
destination.
