Coffee club style country pie

From fridge to dining table : 50 minutes
 
 

Ingredients : 
 
200 gm Minced meat (pork & beef)
5     Potatos (small)
½    cup Frozen corn kernels
½    cup Carrots (diced)
½    cup White button mushrooms (sliced)
½    cup Onions (diced)
½    cup Mozzarella cheese
    cup UHT milk
1     tbsp Plain flour
       Salt and pepper to taste    Basil and oregano (optional)
       Ceramic baking tray (8 in x 8 in x 3 in deep)

Preparation :
  1. Wash, cut and boil the potatoes and mash them when softened.
  2. Add in ½ cup of milk and the cheese. Mix well.
  3. Fry the corn, carrots, mushrooms, onions and meat in a separate pot.
  4. Add a little water for the ingredients to simmer until the carrots are soft.
  5. Add salt, pepper and herbs (optional) to taste.
  6. Stir the flour into the remaining ½ cup of milk and add the mixture to the pot of vegetables and meat. Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Transfer stuff in pot into the baking tray and spread it evenly throughout.
  8. Cover it evenly with the mashed potato.
  9. Draw lines on the mashed potatoes with a fork. It would end up looking like a padi field. The artistic could try drawing crop circles.
  10. Preheat the oven to 200oC.
  11. Bake the pie for 30 minutes or until you can't wait to eat it anymore!
